On November 2, a concert was held in the S. Lyudkevych Concert Hall of the Lviv Regional Philharmonic on the occasion of the grand opening of the International Music Academy “SCM” with the participation of Oleg Krysa and laureates of international competitions.

The founder of the Academy is the Public Organization “Art Association “World of Classical Music” (“SCM”) and the Oleg Krysa Charitable Foundation. The creation of an International Music Academy of the European level in Ukraine is the next stage of an international project to support young talents in Ukraine and popularize Ukrainian violin music, launched by the Art Association “SCM” in 2013. The first stage of this project was the establishment of the First International Oleg Krysa Violin Competition in Ukraine (the competition is held once every three years).

The initial stage of the Academy's work will be master classes, to which such outstanding violinists as:

Oleg Krysa (USA) - Professor at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester (New York, USA)

Pierre Amoyal (France) - Professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria)

Christian Altenburger (Austria) - Professor at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (Austria)

For the first time in Ukraine, students will be able, without going abroad:

• to gain extensive experience from outstanding teachers and performers, the traditions of various violin schools, which will contribute to improving their professional level;

• to have the opportunity to directly communicate with both outstanding musicians and peers from different countries of the world;

Young teachers of music institutions in Ukraine will be able to improve their skills in the process of familiarizing themselves with teaching methods and working on specific musical works of outstanding musicians and teachers.

The founder of the Oleg Krysa International Violin Competition and the Music Academy "SKM" - the NGO "Artistic Association "World of Classical Music" ("SKM") was created with the aim of popularizing classical music, integrating Ukrainian violin music into the world context, as well as providing professional musicians, academic groups, educational institutions and craftsmen in the manufacture and repair of musical instruments with everything they need. The creative association includes a number of companies, enterprises, private entrepreneurs, professional musicians, experts in cultural values, as well as violin masters.
